Renumber citations in Word 2010
I added a citation into a Word document (numbered style), but I changed my mind and removed it. But it remained in a bibliography. Therefore I edited bibliography (through Zotero dialog) and removed it from there. But the number 16 (under which the original citation was stated) is now skipped. How can I renumber citations in Word? What did I make wrong?

adamsmithEdit bibliography, Revert all, then delete the reference in the text, not in the bibliography.

dvorapaedited April 28, 2017I tried, the reference is now back in bibliography under 16 and if I delete it it returns back in a while.

adamsmithI mean delete the number 16 from the text, not the bibliography. Did you try this?
