[5.0 Beta] Unable to add publications through Zotero Connector to my library

Hi,

I am using Zotero Connector 4.999.17 in Firefox 53.0 (64-bit) and am unable to detect the Zotero Standalone 5.0-beta.183+7661f71. Whenever I press the Zotero Connector icon, all it says is

"""
You’ve installed the Zotero Connector!

The Zotero Connector enables you to save references to Zotero from your web browser in a single click.

Looking for your Zotero data? If you were previously using Zotero for Firefox, you’ll need to download the standalone Zotero application to access your local Zotero data going forward
"""

even when I have the Zotero Standalone program opened. Is it just me, or do others experience a similar problem? Thanks!
  • Can you provide a Report ID from the Firefox connector after that? After you get that dialog the first time, the icon should change to a normal save button.
  • Hi dstillman,

The problem is that the dialog keeps coming back. Here are my report IDs:

    Report ID:
    Zotero standalone: 1426600164
    Zotero connector: 2118332153

    Thanks.

This seems like a problem in your Firefox installation. Make sure that DOM Storage is enabled, and if so, try disabling any other extensions you have installed.
  • Thanks for your reply. It's working now after I enabled DOM Storage.
