putting notes on PDFs

I've just installed Zotera after I had an awful falling out with endnote, and it is the best thing that's ever happened. I love the way I can highlight websites and put notes beside them. I was wondering is it possible to do the same with PDF files?

    You need to do the notes with our PDF reader. Most PDF reading software enable you to do this. Zotero cannot annotate PDFs.

    You can create an item (either manually, by using a site translator, or by attempting to retrieve metadata from the PDF (in 1.5b2)) and then attach both the PDF and notes to that item.
