endnote import - no translator - endnote X2 problem?
I am getting the 'no translator' message when I try to import an endnote library. I'm exporting as BibteX, and saving as .txt, as advised. I tried importing only 20 references at a time, but that didn't work either.
Is this an endnote X2 problem?
The data in the .txt file looks like this:
author = {ABA},
title = {Report of the task force on law schools and the profession: narrowing the gap (known as the MacCrate Report)},
institution = {http://www.abanet.org/legaled/publications/onlinepubs/maccrate.html},
year = {|1992|}
}
author = {ACLEC},
title = {First report on legal education and training},
institution = {Lord Chancellor's Department},
year = {|1996|}
}
Any help welcomed. If I can make this work, I'll try to make a style for OSCOLA, the English law style.

noksagtAt the very least, there is an apparent problem with the export filter that you are using. That is not valid BibTeX, as it is missing the first line of each item (which denotes the item type and a citation key, e.g. "@book{sandy-2009,"). Try to find another export filter or use RIS as your intermediate format.

sandyMany thanks for your reply. I took your advice and downloaded as a RIS file. It worked fine. Perhaps that means there's a bug in EndnoteX2 with the BibteX filter...
