Cannot retrieve references from American Sociological Review

I am trying to retrieve references of this journal webpage with Zotero standalone in google Chrome, but it is useless. It only opens a dialog saying "Saving to..." adding the name of the folder I'm in zotero, but then does nothing.

The example url is: http://journals.sagepub.com/toc/asr/current

Is there a way of fixing this?

works for me. Is that the URL exactly as you see it? Do you get a list of articles after clicking the article?

Yes, this is the url where I get the folder icon in chrome that later opens a dialog for selecting the articles to save.

Another particular example is this: http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/0003122416671743
I can't add this article by clicking the paper icon in Zotero extension for Chrome. Does this work for you?

Additionally, I can save references from other webpages.

Yes it does. What exactly happens when you try? You get the pop-up bubble at the bottom right? Does it specify the item's title?
Which version of Zotero are you running (check under "About Zotero")

It does not show the item's name, the bubble opens and only says "Saving to..." adding the Zotero folder name where I am in standalone.

I'm using version 4.0.29.10

unless you're on Linux, you should be able to update Zotero to either 4.0.29.15 (Mac) or 4.0.29.17 (Windows)

OK, I get the same from Chrome. It's not getting the DOI, not sure why not, will have to investigate. It's where it's supposed to be on the page.

A translator fix is now up. Your version of Zotero will automatically update within 24hs, or you can update manually using the "Update Now" button in the "General" tab of the Zotero preferences. If you're using Standalone, restart Zotero and your browser after updating.
