Download latest version Zotero_risk of loss of data on my computer THANK YOU

Good afternoon everyone,

I couldn't to find answers similar to my questioning so I prefer to send you this post (forgive me if there were already answers to my question).
My Firefox browser has updated automatically for the latest version 51.0 and my Z (Zotero) icon no longer appears on the icon bar. I have seen (https://www.zotero.org/support/en/kb/no_status_bar_icon) that I need to download the latest version 4.0 but I have never synchronized my bibliographic references to my Zotero personal account. I am worried by downloading the new version of Zotero to lose my data on my computer.
Is there a way to address it?
Can I safely download the latest version without losing my data?
If this is possible, I will then back up my data.

    Je ne suis pas parvenue à trouver des réponses similaires à mon interrogation aussi je me permets de vous envoyer ce post.
    Mon navigateur Firefox s'est mis à jour automatiquement pour la dernière version 51.0 et mon icône Z (Zotero) n'apparaît plus sur la barre d’icônes. J'ai vu (https://www.zotero.org/support/fr/kb/no_status_bar_icon) qu'il fallait télécharger la dernière version 4.0 mais je n'ai jamais synchronisé mes références bibliographiques sur mon compte personnel Zotero. Je crains en téléchargeant la nouvelle version de Zotero de perdre mes données sur mon ordinateur.
    Y-a-t-il un moyen d'y remédier?
    Puis-je télécharger sans risque la dernière version sans perdre mes données?
    Si cela est possible, je sauvegarderai ensuite dans la foulée mes données.

    Downloading Zotero again won't affect any existing data.

    Note, though, that simply upgrading Firefox wouldn't remove Zotero. It's more likely you reset Firefox, in which case you'd want to follow these steps to restore your data:
