Pages Column only works for articles, not books

The Pages column in the main app only shows page ranges for book sections and articles, but it doesn't show page numbers for books even though they are in a field of the same name. There may be a good reason why this is the case, but I can't think of it right now! Is this a bug or a feature? Thanks!

    No, those are different fields with different meanings:
    The Pages field shows the page range of an article or chapter, so it doesn't exist for books.
    The # of Pages field shows the total number of pages of a book.

    Ok, thanks. I guess that means there's no way to show the # of Pages field in the columns.

    no, sorry. Why would you need that? It's generally possible to add, it's mostly a judgment call which fields are available in the menu (which can't be too large).

    Yes, I see that balance. I was wanting to do a quick sum of how many pages I'd read, so having them all visible in a list would make that a bit easier. Purely for my own sense of satisfaction! I don't consider it an urgent or important feature request.
