Chrome conector only save webpage

Report ID: 747616505
When I click on "save to zotero" in chrome's extension, only the webpage is saved. I have been testing in several scientific platforms such as Science Direct, Scopus and Elsevier, but in all of these, in cannot save the information of the papers to Zotero Standalone
  • Try resetting your translators from the Advanced → Files and Folders pane of the Zotero preferences and restarting Chrome and Zotero. If that doesn't help, a Debug ID from the Chrome extension for loading a page might be helpful.
  • I followed the steps as proposed above. The debug ID of the chrome extension is D859482333. So far, none proposed step has solved the problem.
  • Can you provide a Report ID from Standalone as well?

What do you see in Chrome when you load http://127.0.0.1:23119/ ? (It should say "No endpoint found".)

Can you also provide a Debug ID for clicking "Reset Translators" in the preferences in Chrome?
  • The report ID from standalone is D384969688
I tried load the link above, but the connection was not successful. None messenger it was say.
the ID for "reset translators" is D1148783015
    sincerely

OK, yeah, the Chrome extension isn't actually connecting to Standalone, then. In the Chrome extension prefs, it likely says that Zotero Standalone is offline. That's likely due to security software on your system or proxy server settings preventing the local connection from working. You'll need to play with those until that link shows "No endpoint found". (127.0.0.1 means the computer itself. You'll want to make sure that address is excluded from proxying or security filtering, which it should be by default.)

This also means it wouldn't be saving to Standalone. Normally it would then fall back to saving to the server, but it's not clear from your debug output that it's doing that either. Are you sure it's saving anywhere?
  • I have reviewed the security software and disabled the firewall of the windows and at this moment when I click on the link, shows "No endpoint found".
the Zotero connector, however, isn't woking.
following I send the ID from chrome extension
    ID 1989374739.
is a strange thing, because in some moments i can save the paper into standalone, but seconds after the extension isn't working again.
  • The link needs to work consistently (meaning, consistently show "No endpoint found"). If it stops or is intermittent, this isn't going to work. So you'll need to figure out what's interfering with this on your system.

We can look at another Debug ID for loading the page — Report IDs are going to be less useful here — but it's almost certainly just going to show that requests from the connector to Standalone aren't going through.
