Error - Zotero says it is saving my citation, but it does not show up in my library

I've tried to save many articles from various databases and websites and it does not save the article. I even tried downloading it then saving and it still wont work :(

    We'll need more info. What browser are you using (Chrome?), and what's a URL you're trying to save that isn't working? If you look at the Zotero Connector preferences in Chrome, does it say that Zotero is online or offline?

    I'm using google chrome. http://www.jstor.org/stable/pdf/25684282.pdf was the most recent one I tried to save. I can't find where it would say if zotero is online or offline but it looks like it's all connected and everything is okay, i just cant save some links

    Am also having the same problem. I am using zotero for firefox. I saved citation directly and using identifier but I cant find it in the library. I tried uninstalling zotero standalone and firefox add-on but the same problem. I downloaded the same file, put it in the library and got its metadata but that is so inconvenient.
