Changing font size of footnotes in Word

Hey everyone,

I would like to change the font size of the footnotes zotero generates. I'm using word, Chicago full note style, on a mac. I have both zotero stand alone and the firefox plug in installed.

I couldn't find any button in the UI to change this, nor any indication of how to do this on the internet.

Would be great if someone could help me out!

Cheers!
  • Zotero uses the standard footnote style you have set in Word. It doesn't control font or size of any text it inserts.
  • Thanks for your quick response!

Tried changing it just now using format => style => footnote text => modify and change font size there, it only changes the font size of the reference numbers and of footnotes that were inserted using the word reference system and not zotero. My footnotes inserted using the zotero plug-in don't change..

Would there be any other way to do this?
  • I'm in a rush, but see if you can find out which Word style Zotero uses for the footnotes -- it has to be _some_ style (as I said -- it doesn't pass on any size/font information of its own). If you find that, modify that (and let us know).
  • Ok, so it does work if you change the font size using the styles pane (home tab, right corner on windows for mac). It just only does it for new footnotes and does not automatically update the old ones. So fixed it by manually updating the old ones, and all new footnotes now have the correct style.

    Thanks!
