[5.0 Beta] Problem saving to library

  • I upgraded to Zotero 5.0 and nothing will save to my library. Can I go back to version 4 until a full release is ready? If so, how? I tried one and received a message that my database was still version 5.0.

  • There's nothing trivial. Zotero made an automated back-up before updating to 5.0 and you can use that: https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_from_the_last_automatic_backup

    But of course, the main purpose of the beta is that it gets tested and Zotero devs get error reports, so it'd be a lot more helpful (and help assure you won't see the same issue in the final release) if you'd report this issue in a new thread with more details.
  • Moved to a new thread. @eriklankford, yes, it'd be great if you could provide a Report ID and steps to reproduce so that we can fix this. Otherwise you're likely to simply run into it again once 5.0 comes out.
