Zotero Standalone stopped working in Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
I was wondering if someone can help me continue using Zotero Standalone in my macbook that has Mac OS X 10.6.8 installed.
I used to use Zotero easily, but now the application does not open. I am desperate because I'm writing my PhD thesis and need to use Zotero for the references. If someone knows how to make Standalone work in Mac OS 10.6, please let me know. I would very appreciate that.
Thanks!

The installation looked normal but we could not open it. She has not used Zotero before so it was not that tragic but I wonder how this problem can be solved.
On a Mac forum I have found this path https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/upgrade-from-os-x-10-6-8-639166/. But I would not force the student to upgrade if there is a solution to install and use Zotero properly on her laptop. Thanks so much in advance.
I was hesitating to update my OS because I was afraid my "Early 2008" Macbook would start running slower. But I'll think about it...
Dan Stillman, you are right about the other problems too. I've been having issues with a lot of browser extensions, softwares, etc that are just not being updated for OS 10.6 anymore. Do you have a final opinion on whether it is really worth it to update to OS El Captain or just stay with Snow Leopard and deal with the limitations? Thanks in advance!
