Error message in Standalone: "Error connecting to server. Check your Internet connection"

I am trying to help someone with a Zotero error that is affecting her ability to sync. There's an error reading: [JavaScript Error: "Error connecting to server. Check your Internet connection."] -- despite the wireless connection working fine. We doublechecked to make sure the Zotero account info in her preferences was working and it was correct. Could not send a bug report because of Zotero's inability to connect to server. Full error message below. Any suggestions on troubleshooting this are appreciated!

  • that looks like a misspecified proxy on their computer if I had to guess (provided other people on the same network can sync; if that's not the case, it may be a network setup).
