Style error: Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport

Hello,

I noticed some very little flaws in this style (Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport), I tried to correct them, but unfortunately as I am a beginner, after a few tries I just couldn't figure out how to fix them. The issues are the related to the in text citations, even though the numbers are superscripted, the commas "," and the dash "-" for the group citations are not superscripted. I was wondering if someone could help me out how to fix this.

  • Thanks -- will fix it this weekend and let you know when it's done.
@Rintze -- we should check if there are any other styles with the vertical-align set on the citation-number instead of layout. I'll try to do this, just posting it here so I won't forget.

  • @fcheslack, while slightly humorous, the forums shouldn't convert "D:" in code blocks to smileys.

and I was wondering how your search script knew this was a bad thing...
  • I appreciate everyone's help.
Thank you very much for your kindness!

    I'll be waiting.

  • @EMKVKS, @adamsmith fixed this style, as well as the 46 others that had the same problem: https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/commit/69cd543a65403f7a62339794703d3e7137187c77

Your style should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can install the latest version from http://zotero.org/styles.
  • Thanks! You guys are awesome!
I already tested it and it works great.
  • Hello everyone,
I noticed another problem, examining the references, I observed that some journals are not correctly abbreviated, instead of using the journal abbreviation listed in the Zotero database (which I obtained from PubMed), it is creating an abbreviation based on the full name of the journal. For example:

Journal title: Sports Medicine (Auckland, N.Z.)
In Reference: Sports Med Auckl NZ
    Correct form: Sports Med

    Another example:
Journal title: Journal of Applied Physiology (Bethesda, Md.: 1985)
In reference: J Appl Physiol Bethesda Md 1985
    Correct form: J Appl Physiol

Is it possible to fix this, or I would have to edit every one of my references?

unfortunately editing your references is the only way to go, sorry (editing them in Zotero, that is; not in your document).
  • OK, thank you very much.
