When I visit a site that is not something to which I need to have access through a library, such as youtube, it is redirecting me to my library to log it to get accesss. This also happens with sites like macrumors.com, and I get redirected to youtube. I think this is because there is something from youtube embedded in the macrumors page. This is very annoying since it means I have to keep enabling and disabling the proxy redirect depending on the website I want to visit.

    Go to the Proxies pane of the Zotero preferences and look for a Multi-Site entry. What is the Scheme that it shows? (You can leave out the name of your institution, but keep the rest.)

    You can double-click that entry to edit it and remove specific domains such as youtube.com. This shouldn't happen unless you actually accessed YouTube through your institution's proxy, though.

    Thank you. This solved the problem which really helps. I wasn't sure what a 'scheme' is supposed to be but I did find it.
