How to cited a book chapter ?

Hello,

I have a problem with Zotero: I must mention a book chapter whose author is different from the book. I have filled the fields "Author" and "chapter author" but in my bibliography, the author does not appear. I have only the name of the author of the chapter that appears.

Why ? Who has a solution?
Thank you very much for helping me.
And sorry for my English, I'm French ^^
  • Thank you but that's not exactly what I want to do. I want the authors of the chapter appear as such (that name exists among the proposed ZOTERO). If I apply them the name "publisher" it appears in my bibliography "ed" after their names and I do not want ... And when I apply the name "chapter author 'names do not appear at all in my bibliography

    I need help ;)
  • You mean like this, yes?
Mares, I. (2001). Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers? In P. A. Hall & D. Soskice (Eds.), Varieties of capitalism. The institutional foundations of comparative advantage (pp. 184–213). New York: Oxford University Press.

where "Mares, I." is the chapter's author. The link above tells you how to do this. There is no "Chapter author" in Zotero; it might be easier if you use the French labels that you're (I assume) seeing. We'll understand (and if not can check how they're translated).
  • Please provide a link to the citation style that you must use. Please tell us the name of the Zotero style you are using that does not make a properly formatted bibliography.
  • Looking in my documents for my thesis I found an example and found the solution. The bwiernik link is the right solution. Thank you all for your help :)
  • You can use Author and Book Author, if the Book author is not the editor but the proper author. E.g. in my case I have a book by X and an Introduction by Y, so I use Chapter, with the specified reference.
