access to previous account impossible

I used an account for several years whose email addresse has recently been dumped by the provider because the account had been hijacked by a spammer.
Now when I try to access the account here the form answers: invalid account.

If I try to change the email adress the confirmation will be sent to the old, now blocked account.
So how can I get back the account and change the email adress ?

    if it really says "Invalid account" and not "Invalid credentials", I'm not sure that account still exists. Is it possible the account was also used to spam the forums? In that case it may well have gotten deleted.

    Sorry, it says invalid credentials.

    I guess the address was not used for spamming the forum as I got no mail delivery failed message with a zotero email address in the body .

    OK, so you have an account where you have forgotten your password and don't have access to the e-mail anymore.
    Send and e-mail to support@zotero.org with as much information that identifies you as the original account holder as possible and a link to this thread. They might be able to help you, though you can understand this is tricky.
