Plug-in in word 2016 for mac - en français

I've just installed Office 2016 for Mac in French and I am unable to activate the plug in for word. I am using zotero as a plug in in Firefox (v48.0.2) and Mac OS 10.11.5.

I've followed the instructions here https://www.zotero.org/support/windows_word_plugin_manual_installation_instructions#manually_installing_the_zotero_word_for_mac_2016_plugin

but it is not working.

Can anyone help?? Thanks

    "not working" meaning what exactly? Doesn't appear, doesn't do anything when you click, something else?

    doesn't appear at all in Word.
    Have tried to uninstall and reinstall. To change the start up folder. To update the plug in version.
    Still nothing.

    You're looking in the "Add-ins" tab of Word, correct? If the Zotero toolbar doesn't show up there, Zotero.dot isn't in the right startup folder. What's the filepath of the folder you currently have it in?

    Zotero.dot is here : Bibliotheque/application support / Microsoft/office 365 / user content / start up / word.

    In the adds in, I see zotero.zoteroEditBibliography. What should I do from there? I am used to see the icon in my tool bar at the top.

    No, I mean in the "Add-ins" tab in Word -- it's in a separate tab, which you should see. Do you not?

    I don't see this separate tab in French.

    It was there in the 2010 version as a small icon but nothing in this version

    Do you not see zotero.dot under tools --> templates (sorry, not sure about French translation) in Word? See if you can activate that.
    If not, the startup folder you have selected would seem to be incorrect. The default location should be
    ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word
    Try that.

    zotero.dot is in this folder. Still not working - I do not see zotero.dot under tools or anywhere else in Word.

    OK, and have you tried setting the Word startup folder to that folder?

    It worked! I can see all actions in "tools". Thank you very much! Do I have to go through "tools - adds-in" and then select the action, or is there a way to have a toolbar or use a shortcut for each command? ?

    ok - I've created the command in the quick toolbar. Working fine. Thanks again for your help.
