Preserve CAPS in sentence-style capitalization - acronyms, names...

I am in need for a feature that preserves capitalization when creating a reference list, since I need to use sentence-style capitalization in titles but do not manually want to adjust titles later on.

For example a title such as
'CEO behaviour in American companies' will be exported to
'Ceo behaviour in american companies'.

Is there a way to specify e.g. in a list the names ('CEO', 'American', acronyms etc. that should not be modified?

Any help highly appreciated!
  • Which style is this -- style shouldn't force sentence case, but there may be some left over that do. (Just storing titles in sentence case is enough. Background here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/sentence_casing )
  • I actually manually edited the csl file to force the titles into sentence case because my long list of items was downloaded from journals etc and they thus titles and other fields are mixtures of title case, sentence case and caps.

After deleting the enforced sentence case in the csl file and just storing the item in sentence case, it worked - thank you!

However...is there a way around right-clicking on title and other fields of each of the hundreds of references and manually change to sentence case?
  • no, unfortunately there isn't currently an easy way to batch convert to sentence case.
