ProQuest Dissertations stopped working

ProQuest Dissertations database, for which Zotero uses the general ProQuest translator, does not not work any more. It did until a few weeks ago. I have tried all steps recommended in http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

I cannot offer a link since ProQuest is subscription-based.

    Do you not get an icon, or do you get an error? A link would still be helpful.

    I get an icon, it is clickable, but the "Could not save item. An error occurred ..." message pops up. Nothing is saved in the collection.

    We need either the link that's failing for you or a Report ID from Report Errors under the gear menu after you get the error.
