Date format for English references

Hi there,

It might be that I've missed something, but I've tried a few times to change the date format to day month year in line with the English format and I can't work it out. If anyone has a comment on how to do this it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Liz
  • The date format where, specifically? In a citation or somewhere in the display?
  • When entering references into the standalone it seems to automatically choose m d y when I use d m y and just wondering if I can change that?

    Cheers,

  • This should work:

In Zotero Standalone, open about:config (Preferences->Advanced->about:config), set intl.locale.matchOS to false, and set general.useragent.locale to en-GB and see if it makes things look&behave like you want them to. If this is the issue, it's a bug we inherit from Mozilla and it's probably not going to be an easy fix.

(FWIW, I recommend always using ISO date (YYYY-MM-DD) or written out months (August 19, 2016) when entering dates manually, as it removes any chance of ambiguity)
  • Thanks for your help Adam
