plugin does not work with 64-bit versions of Firefox
It says on the homepage that "The Word for Windows plugin does not currently work with 64-bit versions of Firefox". Is there any way to come around this problem?

adamsmithYou can run Standalone and use the Word add-on through that, but otherwise no. I'd suspect that, given that the full-scale Firefox add-on will cease to exist at some point in the next year or so (because Firefox is removing the functionality on which it relies), Zotero won't bother fixing the Word add-on for it.

Jon Olav Vikedited August 29, 2016Note that even on 64-bit Windows you may already be running 32-bit Firefox. In Firefox, type "about:buildconfig" in the address bar and look at "target". On my brand new Windows 8 latop I have x86_64-pc-mingw32, which is 32-bit Firefox running on 64-bit Windows. Cf. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/954757
