Attach Stored Copy

So I have a problem: When I right click a reference and click "add attachment->attach stored copy" the copy is not stored in the ZoteroLIbrary folder like it used to, but in the folder Downloads/Zotero.

I have looked at every single menu and all folders are set to my ZoteroLibrary folder and I can't see anything in downloads. So half of my files are stored in one place, half in another. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and how I can fix it?

    That sounds like you're using a third-party plugin like ZotFile that's moving your files (and converting them to linked attachments).

    Actually yes. That's correct. I figured out that it was Zotfile that was messing everything up. Thanks!

    Unfortunately it's not clear to me from documentation how exactly files and links are managed within folder: Either in Zotero or Zotfile.
