differences in searching on mac and pc
My colleague uploaded my hawaii bibliography of 17000+ references to zotero on her pc, created a group, and added me to her group as a co-owner. She can make searches using the advanced search option.
When I log in to zotero I can see her group and see all the references by choosing the group library option. However the search capability is different. The search is limited to all text or title and creator. Tag searches are separate.
If I am to make this database available to everyone on a mac or pc then only pc users can join her group to get full use of the database. The alternative for mac users would be to join zotero and separately upload the entire .ris file for advanced search capability.
Is there any way to make the advanced search capability available to mac folks who join the group that imported the .ris file onto a pc?

dstillmanI think you're confusing the Zotero website and the client. The Zotero client works the same on all platforms. Search on the Zotero website is currently a bit more limited, but that has nothing to do with Mac vs. PC.

dstillmanIn other words, if you're a member of a group, all you need to do is make sure your client (i.e., Zotero for Firefox or Zotero Standalone — not the Zotero website) is set up for syncing.
