Standalone regularly freezing/not responding

I'm a longtime user of Zotero. I've never found it to be the snappiest program, but lately it's been freezing/not responding with increasing frequency: at startup, when syncing, adding new items, other random times, etc. It's happening enough that it's now regularly disrupting my workflow (I use it throughout the day).

I've long ago collapsed the tag window (which I'd like to use) with the hope that it would increase performance. That doesn't appear to have helped much, from what I can tell. I'm using the latest standalone (4.0.29.10). My library has about 6200 items, most of which have pdf attachments.

    I can't take a look at this until next week, but does this happen if you disable auto-sync? If so, can you provide a Debug ID for an operation that's slow when sync isn't running?

    To follow up: yes, this is still happening regularly, even with auto-sync disabled. I've submitted a Debug ID: D238771183

    That debug output shows a sync, though.

    It also shows indexing of full-text content, which happens automatically in the background when your computer is idle. If you've synced many items recently, leaving it idle for a few minutes would allow that to finish.
