Juris-M - Firefox Only?

I am new to Zotero and I have downloaded the normal Zotero application on my Mac. But I have looked at the Juris-M website - https://juris-m.github.io/downloads/

In this regard may I ask:

Do I need to download the various plug ins with Firefox? Can I not download them with Safari or Google Chrome. (I do not really use Firefox).

Secondly, i am running a Mac in a Commonwealth Jurisdiction. Can you tell me which one or more of the many Auxillary Plug ins / Styles / MLZ Styles you would suggest I download?

Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks!
  • You can download all add-ons to your harddisk and install them in the Standalone version via tools-->add-ons. That works for Zotero Standalone and juris-m standalone equally.
  • Thank you so much!
  • Can you give any guidance as to which of the many Auxillary Plug ins / Styles / MLZ Styles you would suggest I download? For a commonwealth jurisdiction? and to use the OSCOLA format on a MAC?
  • I'd rather leave that one for fbennett, who usually is super active over the weekend. He'd be in a much better position to answer that and I'm a bit behind on the most recent juris-m developments. If he doesn't get back to you by Sunday, I'll try to make some recommendations.
  • Thanks so much. I will wait for him!
  • Andrew,

(Spent most of the weekend on sleep and news, sorry.)

The simplest way to get up and running is to install JM Standalone for your platform (it should be shown as the leftmost button at the top of the page).

You will then also need one (and only one) of the connector plugins (also in the top row of the page -- only one of the buttons should be green).

The additional plugins shown further down the page are mainly there for running Juris-M entirely in Firefox, which from the sound of it you don't mean to do.
