I maintain an EndNote database of 18000 references. Can this be imported into zotero?

    yes. Might work better if you split it up into a couple of export/imports. See here for instructions if you want to also import attached files:

    edit: oh, and Zotero/Firefox might look like it's freezing or even throw a non-responding error. You can ignore that. Large imports just take some time.
