Bibliography in incorrect style

I have set my style preference as APA 6th, and that seems to be working fine for citations. However, when I attempted to insert a bibliography in the document, that bibliography appeared in the incorrect style: the titles of articles and books appeared in title case rather than in sentence case per APA style. Any suggestions?
  • I would like to second this post. I am having the same problem, and would love to know how (if possible) to save my edits so that the next time I use the same source the References formatting reflects changes I've made in previous Word documents. Thanks.
  • For the specific question in the original post see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/sentence_casing (ans sorry for not replying earlier).

The general principle is: fix the data in Zotero or report an error with the style. Nothing you do in Word will ever carry over to other documents and fixing citations in Word is almost always the wrong approach.

Can't say more without details about your particular case.
  • Same problem and I can verify that when I manually enter the title of a journal article into Zotero, as (for example) "Do online videos cannibalize television?" it shows up in my citation using title case (incorrect).

Is there a fix for this?
  • Which style are you using?
  • I might have figured it out though. Some citations are drawing from the name of the document that I accessed electronically and saved to Zotero - NOT from my manual entering of them.

I will have to see if going back and editing the titles that got sucked into my library automatically makes a difference.
