IEEE titles with Greek letters

I'm trying to grab several IEEE references where the titles includes a Greek letter. Unfortunately, the result is not good as it shows a code in the Zotero citation title.

For example the work titled:
BiCMOS 7.5 µA power-on reset pulse generator circuit with precise threshold level and hysteresis

(IEEE url: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpls/abs_all.jsp?arnumber=7340551&tag=1)

in Zotero shows like: BiCMOS 7.5 #x00B5;A power-on reset pulse generator circuit with precise threshold level and hysteresis

It is interesting to see that in Google Scholar the same work is correctly captured by Zotero.

Some time ago Zotero IEEE translator was working properly.
Any idea?
  • This is very clearly an IEEE problem: if you look at their bibtex (and their RIS) export for that item, you'll see the #x00B5; instead of the mu.
We can look at whether and how we can convert this (it's the html encoding of the UTF for the greek letter), but really they should fix this. Do report to them if you get a chance.
  • Thanks for the reply. I do not know how to report them this isse. I'm sorry. The question now is: how Google is getting the data properly?
