Maqasid references

Hello fellow Zotero users. I am currently trying to build up a reference library for Maqasid al-Sharia studies (Objectives of Islamic Law). I have recently created a group on here but would like to know how I can begin engaging people (already on this site) to share their precious resources with me?

I would essentially like to create a rapport with scholars/researchers who are interested in this subject and build up a reference library of at least 3000 entries but also keep in touch for mutually beneficial reasons regarding research, etc. How would I go about this on Zotero? Is this the correct platform for me in your opinion?

Thanking you all in advance for your valuable input!

@LiborA is right in the sense that Zotero's website doesn't work very well for discovering people that share a similar interest. And the Zotero forums are meant for product support, and shouldn't be used as a space to collaborate on research projects.

That said, a lot of people do collaborate by using Zotero groups, which works well with people you already know. You're just better off finding an secondary platform (like your own research blog, or an existing online research community) to find interested people.
