unapi mods ISBN not parsed

Hey there!

We're using unapi with the mods format to send references to Zotero from our website but it seems that the ISBN isn't parsed correctly as it didn't appears in Zotero. ISSN is okay but not ISBN.
If you want an example :
http://elearning.unifr.ch/bibup/index.php?tag=bluisthenewblack&filter=Filter
Unapi direct access : http://elearning.unifr.ch/bibup/unapi.php?id=36768&format=mods

Is that a known bug? I've tried to look at a website using unapi/mods and successfully parsing ISBN but did not found one. Does anyone here know one?

Thanks for your help!
  • Not a known bug, no, and the MODS looks fine (and by itself imports with ISBN).

Currently don't have a good idea, I'll try looking into this, but if anyone else has any thoughts (noksagt?) that'd be great.
  • The MODS imports with the ISBN.

The unAPI import lacks an ISBN, but has a short title. So my guess is that unAPI is pulling in a different format. I need to check more.
  • that's what I thought, but the unapi only offers MODS?

  • hey guys.

    Thanks for your support.
According to Zotero logs, seems like it's parsing MODS :
    (4)(+0000005): Translate: Parsing code for MODS (0e2235e7-babf-413c-9acf-f27cce5f059c, 2015-02-11 01:24:19)
(3)(+0000006): Translate: Beginning translation with MODS

I tried something and it seems when I set a 10-digit ISBN Zotero can get it but not when using a 13-digit ISBN.
  • Hey!

As a workaround I convert all my 13-digit ISBN to 10-digit ISBN in my MODS and it seems to work.

It's not ideal but a working solution for anyone with the same problem.
