Report ID 1954268636: Error with sync

After updating to FF 46.0 I get the errors listed in Report ID 1954268636. Restarted both FF and my Mac to no avail.

    Could you provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a sync attempt that fails?

    UPDATE: Reading the discussion in https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/58737/sync-error/#Item_0 I figured, I might run Onyx on my Mac and lo' and behold, now syncing is working again. Seems to be some issue with installing the FF update? I saw another discussion (Ubuntu version of FF) that had the same issue. So I figure it's a FF issue?

    UPDATE 2: And back to the old problem, I am afraid :-(

    The Debug ID is D178912594.

    Always claims error connecting to server - check your Internet connection?

    Updated to the new beta version of Zotero. Problems consists:
