Zotero does not extract complete metadata for the following

Hi,

I am on the editorial collective of:
http://jitp.commons.gc.cuny.edu/

And we have learned that Zotero does not extract the correct and enough metadata to generate accurate citations.

For example, for author is extracts the person who published/posted in Wordpress rather than the actual author. Is is suggested if we can make Zotero think the content is a journal rather than webpage, folks would have greater success generating citations.

Are there any steps we can take to improver citation generation?

    It is a wordpress plugin that we have used the following COinS plugin with:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/scholarpress-coins/

    How do we get better results?

    Or will we need to develop a translator?

    As you can see, the data Zotero imports is exactly what's in the COinS. I don't know how customizable the scholarpress COinS add-on is, but if you can't get it to use the correct authors (and define this as article type), this may not be a good choice.

    Wouldn't it make sense to try to embed metatags anyway, since that gives you better google scholar indexing?
