Switching ASA inline citations to endnotes

I am working on a project where I was inputting inline citations with ASA formatting using the word processor integrator on Word for Mac 2011. However, I was now told by my supervisors that these inline citations will need to be converted to endnotes. The endnotes will need to keep their ASA formatting, as well.

Is there an easy way to convert inline citations to endnotes without changing the formatting style? I realized how I could change inline citations to endnotes by changing the preferences to Chicago, but that also changes how the full reference looks in the endnotes.

Any help would be appreciated!
  • I guess I don't understand what "Endnotes with ASA" is -- author date citations in Endnotes? That makes no sense at all to me. In any case, I'm sorry to say that's not possible to automate.

You could hack it to some degree:
create the bibliography with in-text citation ASA, then switch to a footnote style that looks basically like ASA (WOrld Politics, International Organization) and then paste the old bibliography.
    I think that should work.
