Instal Zotero Plug-in for LibreOffice Without Installing Java
Hello, I would like to know if there is a possibility to install the Zotero plug-in into LibreOffice Writer without having to install Java. I tried installing the Zotero plug-in, however, it asks for Java installation. Is there a way to put all necessary Java runtime files into necessary folders (or registry) and make Zotero work without installing java? I have also explored an option of a portable version, but naturally, Zotero doesn't refer to java runtime files in portable apps. Please help me sort out this issue. I know that it's possible to just install Java on the computer, but with recent security scares, I am hesitant to do so.
Thank you .
Thank you .

But either way, the answer to your question is no -- LibreOffice extensions are (and have to be) written in Java, they can't run without JRE, so Zotero can't integrate with LibreOffice without a function JRE.
1) portable LibraOffice
2) portable Firefox
3) Zotero plug-in for portable Firefox
Normally, portable apps have a Java Runtime folder which can be referenced during installation if necessary. I'd like to see if something can be done to install the Zotero plug-in inside portable Firefox without having to install Java Runtime Environment. Maybe change the path to whichever folder Zotero plug-in installation wizard looks at when during installation. Or maybe by adding a necessary registry key and a string.
Thank you in advance.

I've even tried editing the registry by adding necessary keys into it. In addition to all, I have created a necessary java folder inside C:/....system32 and placed the Java Runtime Files from portable Java you've linked. Still no luck. :(
I know that what I am trying to do is counter-intuitive, but there must be a way to do a standalone portable installation of the Zotero plug-in.
