change punctuation in visual editor

I'm trying to learn how to use the visual csl editor in order to edit a citation style. But I can't seem to find a way to change the puncutation of the bibliography. I know nothing about coding so I was hoping to stay within the visual editor and be able to do this in a simple way...

What I would like to do is change a style from this:
Borges, Jorge Luis. Selected Non-Fictions. New York: Viking, 1999

To this:
Borges, Jorge Luis: Selected Non-Fictions, New York, Viking, 1999

It seems like a very simple thing, but where on earth do I find it in the visual editor?

Thanks in advance!
  • there is no very simple answer to that question. Punctuation can be set in a number of places: it can be a delimiter of a group that includes author and title (if you click on a group on the left, you'll see a delimiter field as an option on the bottom right).
It could be a prefix to title or a suffix to author. Especially for the latter, it could either be in the actual variable call -- it would show up as "Names" on the left -- or for a macro (typically called author) containing that.

You can start by clicking on the author name at the top right and see where the visual editor navigates, that's usually a good starting point.
  • Thank you! I assumed this was something very simple and that I had just not found the right command for it yet. But now I found it, at last.
