Indexing Unindexed Items?

Under “Index Statistics”, Zotero tells me I have 187 unindexed Items. After clicking “index unindexed items” this number does not change. Using Windows search, I definitely come up with duplicate pdf files that are not referenced. In addition “Purge Orphaned Storage Files” does not seem to eliminate this problem either.

Does anyone have similar problems?

    I'm having a similar problem - a large number of PDFs and screenshots attachments are not indexed in my current library. When I try to have Zotero either rebuild the index or index the unindexed items, I get error messages or nothing happens.

    Version 1.5-sync3.8.

    Update: Apparently screenshots of certain websites (in this case, Westlaw) will not index; taking screenshots of printable versions of those pages solved the problem for me. Don't know enough about how Zotero works to say why the original screenshots from Westlaw would not index.
