European Journal of Pediatrics

Dear All

I can't get the European Journal of Pediatrics style right. The references need to be in alphabetical order in the reference list, as it is they are in order of citation in the paper. Also it seems to be putting 'et al' in the references rather than including all authors as the journal requires.

Apologies if I am doing something silly/missing something and thanks for a great programme!

  • The style guide says: "Ideally, the names of all authors should be provided, but the usage of “et al” in long author lists will also be accepted" --> Both seem to be okay.

    Morevoer, it does not want alphabetical order of the references: "The entries in the list should be numbered consecutively." Right?

    However, you will also find the versions with no-et-al and/or alphabetical sorting by searching for
    * Springer Basic (numeric, brackets)
    * Springer Basic (numeric, brackets, no "et al.")
    * Springer Basic (numeric, brackets, no "et al.", alphabetical)
  • Thank you very much and you are absolutely right. I think there was some confusion at the Editorial Office, but the current style is ok. Many thanks for the prompt reply; and the alternatives if this happens again.
