[SOLVED] Report ID D379885954

Hello,

Need help with Zotero Standalone. Obtained new computer. Sync times out with no error message. 90 records are downloaded from server out of 7,000+. Applied the reset option where local data is erased and replaced with server data with no effect. Suspect that there is a corrupted record, how to find the record is unclear.

Sumbitted debug report under D379885954 to Zotero.

With kind regards,

    1) What does "sync times out" mean? If you mean that it simply finishes without an error, you're almost certainly syncing with the wrong username:

    2) If you mean something else, that's not a valid Debug ID. Can you try again?
  • Hi Dan,

    Thanks for the reply.

    1. "sync times out" means that there is no error message. We have entered the correct username/pwd several times. We know that the username/pwd is correct because approximately 90 records are retrieved, but no more. Thus, some records are sync'd, but not many.

    2. Sorry - there was a typo in the debug id. The correct debug id is D1379885954.

    Hope the above helps.

Syncs are (currently) all or nothing — there's no way to get only partial data. Where exactly are you seeing only 90 items? What's selected in the left-hand pane?
  • Thanks Dan - Your input has helped us realize that we no longer had a problem.
