Word 2010 extension

Hi,

How do I get the right extension for Microsoft Word 2010? The website page now only seems to allow 3.5.4 which is not showing up on my ribbon despite it having been successfully installed?

There is only one version of the Word for Windows add-on. If installation doesn't work for you, run through: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#toolbar_does_not_appear_in_word_for_windows_or_is_incompatible
  • I have not received any error message, it just does not show up on the Add ins in my word
  • right. And those troubleshooting steps are for "Toolbar does not appear in Word for Windows," which is exactly what you say your problem is, so go ahead and follow them.
  • I have done - it only talks about a non English version or a Starter edition - none of which I have
  • I'd still follow the manual installation steps.
I assume you know where to look for the toolbar? It'd be either in an "Add-ins" or a "Zotero" tab in Word.

If you're positive you do have the template file in the startup folder, you can also check whether the Zotero template is enabled. I think that's in the Developer tab on Word 2010.
  • Hi

I have a similar problem: the tab is there, but has no headline. I can only see it, if point with the mouse where it is supposed to be. If I click it, the Zotero buttons are there, but they do not work. Nothing happens. I have tried the manual installation of the Zotero.dot file, but that did not work either. Any suggestions?

    Kind regards,
    Asger
