I went to the annoyance of loading Firefox so I can use Zotero, the problem is that Firefox cannot find Zotero so it refuses to export data from a journal article
1) If you don't like Firefox, you don't need Firefox to use Zotero. You can install the Standalone software and use it with extensions from Chrome or Safari
2) If "cannot find Zotero" is part of an error message you're getting, we'd need the exact text of that message together with a description of what you're doing when you're getting it: https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems

Oh, I loaded every conceivable plug-in that is related to zotero
that's a bad idea & likely to do more harm then good. I'd uninstall all the one that you don't know you actually want to use.
