Firefox toolbar icon resizes on rollover

I have the latest version of Firefox, and am using the Zotero 4.0.28.10 plugin. I have the Zotero icons on the toolbar. Normally the 'Z' icon is separated from the 'page' icon by a vertical bar. When I mouse over the icons, the vertical bar disappears, which causes the entire toolbar to change spacing. Is this expected behavior?

Report ID? Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (Dropbox, imgur, etc.), and provide a link here?
  • I'm seeing this too, FWIW, on Windows, but not on Linux. Screenshot will be hard to see -- we're talking about a couple of millimeters of movement on hover -- I don't have setup for screencast right now. (Nothing relevant in error report; haven't tested w/o add-ons, but nothing suspect installed).
  • OK, I'll take a look on Windows, thanks.
  • The normal (non-hover) shot is at https://www.dropbox.com/s/w6i5swo0l82sog8/Normal.jpg?dl=0. The shot while hovering is at https://www.dropbox.com/s/w83s0fxcv0ymlp8/Hover.jpg?dl=0.
  • I can confirm the error as well with Firefox 43 on windows, but it seems to be correct with Firefox 42.

However, on XUbuntu with Firefox 43 it looks for me wrong in the other direction, see https://gist.github.com/zuphilip/43659689290322adbc2e .
  • OK, I think these issues are fixed in the latest 4.0 Beta. (adamsmith and zuphilip, let me know if they're not for you.)
  • Thank you. I can confirm that this is fixed in the beta (tested on windows and linux).
