Removing codes in openoffice

Hello everyone,

I would like to be able to remove codes using the macro provided in openwriter but without losing formatting (like italics). It works well using Word and was wondering if it was supposed to do so in openwriter as well. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any answer!
  • the removal of italics is a bug, albeit an old one. One way to quickly do this is to save as .doc and then re-open, though this won't work if you need other reference marks in the document.
  • hmmm...your suggestion looks good but not for my situation...I was using shortcut to remove codes frequently to avoid having supras in the notes. I guess I will have no choice but create a style without supras and other things like that, but last time I tried this I had problems saving the new style (I will have a look).

Anyway thank you very much for your answer and solution !
  • you also don't want automatic shortened citations etc.? Because all of that would break without field codes. Getting rid of the supra you don't want would seem to be the way to go and should really be quite painless.
