    According to "author guidelines", there should be a comma between the jounal title and volume number. However, this comma is absent in recently published works.     Will this style be added, or does anyone know what it is equal to? I need to use it and am a bit stuck as it is different from the styles I know.

    Hi Sabine,
    you may do it this way: build a folder in Zotero, which contains all the references you cited in your paper, then export the list to Endnote. Then export the list from Endnote with the style of Geobiology.

    @buscc: Your way with using EndNote may be an immediate way, if you have a licence and are in a hurry. However, this is certainly not what one should do normally.

    It looks for me that the style for Ecological Entomolgy is almost perfectly here as well. If you two help me to spot the differences, I can create the needed style quite quickly.

    I found these differences so far:
    * initials of the first names should not contain a point
    * it is just "ed." instead of "ed. by" for chapters

    What else?

    buscc: I do not have Endnote installed at all, as I really dislike it. I am a huge Zotero-fan and have been using it for a few years now, but I have never had the time to get into style editing unfortunately.

    Thanks zuphilip, I thought that there had to be a similar style somewhere!

    Your differences are correct. In addition

    * there is no comma between author last names and initials
    * there is no comma after journal title (in the published manuscripts, though it seems that in the guide for authors there actually is a comma)
    * while the in-text citations have a "&" when there are two authors only (e.g. Koga & Morii, 2005), the reference list lists them with a comma (e.g. Koga Y, Morii H (2005) ... ). In Ecol Entomol, there is a "&".
    * about the eds. - I have a publication in Geobiology where a chapter is actually cited like this

    Skilbeck CG, Fink D (2006) Data report: Radiocarbon dating and
    sedimentation rates for Holocene upper Pleistocene sediments,
    eastern equatorial Pacific and Peru continental margin. In:
    Proceedings of the Ocean Drilling Program, Scientific Results, 201

    It would be fantastic if you could adjust the Ecol Entomol style with the main differences.

    Hi zuphilip and Sabine,

    I am just swiching from Endnote to Zotero. Most of my literature is still in Endnote, but I prefer Zotero.

    It will be great if zuphilip could creat the style for Geobiology. I've checked again the styles for Ecological Entomology and Geobiology. I think Sabine has figured out all the differences.

    Thank you very much for the list of differences. This is very helpful. I created a first draft. I will let you know when it is accepted, then you can test it further.

    BTW I looked at some examples and the punctation seems to be not always the same: "In: " vs. "In " ; "eds." vs. "eds".
