Style Request: Environment and Urbanization
Hello
Our journal has had requests from authors for a referencing style template, as our system for endnotes is a bit quirky. It would be enormously helpful to receive support with this.
Sample bibliography entries:
Campbell, J L and O K Pedersen (2007), "The varieties of capitalism and hybrid success", Comparative Political Studies Vol 40, No 3, pages 307–332.
Mares, I (2001), "Firms and the welfare state: When, why, and how does social policy matter to employers?", In P A Hall and D Soskice (editors), Varieties of capitalism: The institutional foundations of comparative advantage, Oxford University Press, New York, pages 184–213.
Journal ISSN: 09562478
Journal eISSN: 17460301
Manuscript preparation guidelines: https://uk.sagepub.com/en-gb/eur/journal/environment-and-urbanization#PreparingYourManuscript
Link to sample paper: http://eau.sagepub.com/content/27/2/441.abstract
Many thanks for your help. I'd be very happy to answer any questions or provide any more information that would be useful.

I've just had some feedback from an author who attempted to modify a style sheet that she found this very challenging and had to seek outside help. So if anyone is able to lend a hand with creating a style sheet specific to our journal, that would be a big help.
We (that is, the core CSL team members) typically don't create CSL citation styles pro bono for individual journals at the request of editors (unless you can identify an existing CSL style that only requires minute changes to be adapted to your own citation format). We're all volunteering our time here, and most journals should have the means to pay for development of a custom CSL style.
Sebastian Karcher is the world's most profilic CSL style author, and is usually available for hire. He generally charges $100-300 per style, depending on the amount of work involved.
Alternatively, we'd be happy to create a style for you for free, if you could get SAGE to provide us with a list of all their journals, along with the ISSN and citation format used by each journal. The vast majority of our CSL styles has been automatically generated based on journal metadata provided by publishers. We repeatedly reached out to SAGE in the past few years, but so far they never showed much interest in providing us with a list (unlike e.g. Elsevier and Springer, who actively help out).
As Rintze says, if you do have some funds available, I'd be able to do this during work days instead of in my spare time, which would obviously speed it along.

(never mind the broken preview; the style itself works).
The only thing it can't do is the parentheses about the endnote number in the text. CSL doesn't influence that number, it just tells Word to insert a note.
Using Zotero in word, from my document if I click on "Document Preferences" and select "Environment and Urbanization", I get the following error message:Zotero experienced an error updating your document. The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -1728.) @[insertFieldRaw:document.m:1342). Other times, I get this error: Zotero experienced an error updating your document this.betterbase.given[this.gnameset] is undefined. Using Mendeley, mendeley freezes each time I try to change the citation.
I have tried the suggested solutions found at https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#field_codes_instead_of_citationbibiliography_text including deleting the entire bibliography but the error still persists.
