Searching for Child Notes by date

Is there a way to search my "Child Notes" by the dates that I made them (or modified them?) please?

Ideally 'date modified' of a Title would change if you add a Child Note but it doesn't seem to.

    match all

    ItemType -- is -- Note
    DateAdded/DateModified --is after/is in the last/ is before -- <select appropriate value>
