Chrome plugin

I have a problem with the chrome extension, initially it started to save to Library (but did not actually save anything), so I resinstalled the extension and now the icon does not show in the Chrome bar, and its sending this error report:

[JavaScript Error: "Unexpected token }" {file: "chrome-extension://ekhagklcjbdpajgpjgmbionohlpdbjgc/zotero/connector/connector.js" line: 182}]

Could anyone suggest how to fix?

    do you have Zotero Standalone open when trying this?

    hi, yes I do.
    I think thats what I have normally done, should it be open?

    I think I have a similar problem. For some reason on the Zotero website, it just asked me for a new translator setting. Now Zotero crashes when I add from various sites (but not internet pages). The error report is 928939416

    Sorry, I've solved it. Chrome wanted permission to access a private key and I had clicked the wrong button. Looks like it is working now.
