Unable to install Zotero standalone

i needed to uninstall the standalone program but now I am unable to reinstall the program. I can access the download but it will not install. no error messages. please advise.

which operating system? What exactly are you doing to install?

if I cannot get the standalone installed and I can get the firefox option installed, how can I then access my library?

by default, on installing the Firefox add-on, it will share the same data directory as Standalone, so you'd just have your data.

As for re-installing Standalone, what exactly happens? You double-click the setup.exe file you downloaded and then what? What's the size of the downloaded file?
