how to delete a citation and renumber the rest of citations?

hi,

I have 170 citations in square bracket with numbers like this:[1][2][3][4] doen by Zotero

where numbers are:

1 Henri J Vial AG. Chemotherapy against babesiosis. Vet Parasitol 2006; 138: 147–60.
2 Karbowiak G. Zoonotic reservoir of Babesia microti in Poland. Pol J Microbiol Pol Tow Mikrobiol Pol Soc Microbiol 2004; 53 Suppl: 61–65.
3 Babes V. Sur l’hemoglobinurie bacterienne du boef. Comptes Rendus Académie Sci 1888; 107: 692–694.
4 Babes V. Die Aetiologie der seuchenhafeten Hämoglobinurie des Rindes Virchows. Arch Für Pathol Anat Physiol 1889; 115: 81–108.

how can I delete e.g. citation number 3 and automaticaly change 4 to 3, 3 to 2 and 2 to 1 so that I don't have a gap beteween 2 and 4?

hope you understand me :-)

best regards
  • you can just delete citations and the bibliography should update on refresh. Have you tried?
  • what do you mean by "refresh"

when I delete number 3 it looks like this:

1 Henri J Vial AG. Chemotherapy against babesiosis. Vet Parasitol 2006; 138: 147–60.
2 Karbowiak G. Zoonotic reservoir of Babesia microti in Poland. Pol J Microbiol Pol Tow
4 Babes V. Die Aetiologie der seuchenhafeten Hämoglobinurie des Rindes Virchows. Arch Für Pathol Anat Physiol 1889; 115: 81–108.

is there a key for "refreshment" in Zotero?

In the word processor add-on there is, yes. It's the second one from the right.

But note that you'll want to delete the citation in the text, not the bibliography entry.
