Syncing several databases?

Because Zotero gets slower as it adds more records, it is impossible to keep all research projects in the same database. In the future, will it be possible to sync several databases with one username?

    As in, to merge multiple databases together via syncing once Zotero is faster with very large libraries, or to simultaneously sync multiple separate databases using the same account?

    To sync multiple separate databases with one username (the syncing doesn't have to happen all at the same time).

    But if Zotero really does become acceptably fast with very large databases, then we will need to be able to merge multiple databases together. Just glance at the numerous discussions about using EndNote, and you will see that working with a single database is by far the most recommended approach.
